The new year will be the year of walking into fairy circles, smiling at glowing red eyes in corn fields, leaving flower crowns on gravestones, befriending every eerily unblinking cat and generally exposing yourself to every slightly surreal seeming phenomenon because we have nothing to lose and eldritch beings to gain as friends.

Wild Hunt is a European folk myth involving a ghostly or supernatural group of huntsmen passing in wild pursuit. The hunters may be either elves or fairies or the dead. The myth of the Wild Hunt originally comes from a Scandinavian legend that has become fairly widespread and varied (the leader of the retinue could be Odin, Hecate, Herne the Hunter, etc.)
Explaining the myths like:
rule of the universe: every scientist has a tale of a certain mythology or folklore that they are absolutely and unreasonably obsessed with.
become the old forest god with light in its seven pupilless eyes and shadows of long-gone animals playing around its flower-crowned coat that you always wished to be abducted by as a child

It’s an advertisement for rum and I would still watch a full-length movie of this. Tell me the age-old tale of the monster that brought the wrath of the darkest seas over anyone who had hurt the creatures of the sea.
